Prof Talal Yassine AM

Talal Yassine is a seasoned business leader, entrepreneur, and academic with more than two decades of experience in business, finance, and law. He currently serves as Managing Director, Non-Executive Director at Media Diversity Australia, and sits on the board of the Western Sydney University Foundation Council. Talal also chairs First Quay Capital and LandCorp Australia, and his previous roles include senior positions at PwC, Babcock & Brown, and several prominent Australian institutions. His leadership across sectors has earned him numerous accolades, including the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2010 for contributions to education, health, and multicultural communities.

Talal holds a Master of Laws and an MBA in international business strategy, underscoring his dedication to lifelong learning and industry impact. Additionally, he has held academic appointments, including Vice Chancellor’s Professorial Fellow at the Australian National University and Adjunct Professor at Western Sydney University.
